Milestone: Johnny Damon is now 37th in baseball history for career at bats, and he needs 2 more to move into 36th all time.
Shin-Soo Choo continues to dominate in the lead off position. Today, he went 2-4 with a walk, a single, and a double, 2 runs scored, and a stolen base.
The Indians continue their reign of the American League Central Division. They have just been exciting to watch. Every player contributed to today’s win. Tonight’s game against the Tigers had decent starting pitching, great relief pitching, outstanding situational hitting, 3 stolen bases, and outstanding defense. The Indians are proving that being in first place is no mistake.
This game should not been as close as it was. Ubaldo Jimenez allowed 6 walks and 2 wild pitches. If you take away the walks and home run he allowed, Jimenez pitched a decent game.
Only 15,049 showed up for tonight’s game.
