8/10 Recap: Angels 7 – Indians 2

Player of the Game

Yan Gomes scored both of the Indians runs as an anemic offense has been held completely in check by the Angels staff.

Feathers Up

Wild animals didn't kill the entire Indians starting line up today..

Feathers Down

In a continuation of last night's 'Feathers Down' Scott Kazmir is currently listed as Day-to-Day with a "dead arm." Carlos Carrasco will make his next start and Kazmir is expected to rejoin the rotation a few days later. Since he was out of professional baseball all last year it is likely he isn't used to the workload he's had to endure so far this year and could be questionable for the rest of the season.

Jason Kipnis picked a bad time to take the day off. In a close game, the Indians top offensive producer went 0-3 with four runners stranded in scoring position.

Two errors and a wild pitch allowed the Angels to put four runs on the board in the eighth inning, placing the game out of reach for the Tribe. While the Indians have had some bad luck of late, lack of hitting has hurt the team much more in their six game losing streak that has saw them score just about two runs a game during that span.

Final Score: Cleveland Indians 2 – Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, California 7
